As General Manager of the Comfort Inn & Pirates Bay Indoor Water Park, Angel Frizzell oversees the day to day operations and sales efforts for the hotel, cafe, and water park. A familiar face on the Louisville hotel scene for over 20 years, Angel began her hospitality carreer as a front desk guest GSR, then slowly graduated to sales, spending years as a DOS for numerous hospitality firms. She joined HRS in 2009 as the GM of our Comfort Inn, and helped to oversee the renovation and development of the property and water park.

She is a graduate of California’s Watterson School of Travel and Tourism. Angel's involvement with the community, associations and non-profit organizations helps to reinforce her commitment to her community, clients, and staff.

An active racing enthusiast and participant, Angel and her husband David are regulars on racetracks throughout the region promoting “Frizzell Motorsports”, and racing their modified Lucas Oil Superstock, which proudly wears the Pirates Bay Waterpark logo.

Justin Hornback- Assistant General Manager - Comfort Inn & Pirates Bay Waterpark

As Assistant General Manager of the Comfort Inn & Pirates Bay Waterpark in Shepherdsville, KY., Justin Hornback oversees operations of various departments including back and front office operations. Justin has worked with HRS Hotels for five years, starting as a Front Desk GSR and working his way up to Management level. Justin strives for all guests to have the best experience during their stay and to help create lasting memories.

Justin is a recognized local talent and veteran of many community and regional stage shows including those at U of L, WKU, and the Hardin County Playhouse. Justin also does media, commercial and voiceover work.

Urvi Patel: General Manager - Comfort Inn Corydon

Urvi Patel has lived in the U.S. since 2007, starting her hotel Management career in Arkansas and Alabama. She currently runs our HRS Comfort Inn hotel in historic Corydon, IN. Urvi and her husband, Dee are originally from Gujarat, India where Urvi earned her Master’s degree in Computer Application and helped to develop websites for such diverse companies as Sahajanand Laser Technology, and NJ India Invest. In her earlier school years, Urvi was an accomplished athlete, who won many trophies as a runner, long jumper and discus thrower.

Urvi says she strives to live by the rules her Father taught her that hard work and focus are the key to a successful life.

Renee Brooks: Guest Service Manager - Super 8 Radcliff/Ft. Knox

As the Guest Service Manager for the Super 8 Radcliff/Fort Knox, Renee Brooks handles daily operations, human resources, and customer relations. Ms. Brooks came to HRS in 2006 with over 15 years of management and customer service experience in business management.

Renee hails from Birmingham, AL, and spent her young years in school playing the trombone and marching in band competitions across the U.S.

She holds a degree from Kaplan University in Early Childhood Development and began her business career in daycare and learning center management.

An admitted “outdoor freak” Renee is happiest when fishing and camping.

At the Super 8 Radcliff/Fort Knox, Ms. Brooks maintains a standard of quality that is synonymous with the HRS name, striving to maintain quality service and surpass brand standards.

Tonya Bates: Guest Service Manager - Econo Lodge Fort Knox

Tonya joined HRS Hotels in 2010 having spent nearly 18 years in hotel management for numerous flags and hotel companies. Tonya has managed economy to upper mid-tier hotels, and like many in the hospitality business, started her career as a front desk Guest Service Representative, learning the business from the ground up.

Tonya hails from the Columbus region of central Ohio, and in her high school years was an ardent basketball and softball player. Later, she became a graduate of the Wilma Boyd Travel School where she studied to be a Travel and Airline booking agent.

Tonya and her Husband Brian are deeply involved in the Kentucky foster care program, and over the years have been surrogate parents to numerous children in need of a family.

Brian Pierce: General Manager - Holiday Inn Airport & Fair/Expo Center

At the helm of the HRS flagship hotel is Brian Pierce, a hospitality professional with over 20 years of active hotel operational and management experience.

Brian began his career in hospitality as a Night Auditor and holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Kentucky, and an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Jefferson Community College. He has worked for many major hotel brands including Signature Inn, and the Hilton Organization.

Brian grew up in Louisville, and graduated from Trinity High School.

He is the Father of five children, and when time from work and parenting allow, loves to play golf.

Josh Beckert: Assistant Guest Service Manager - Ramada Airport & Fair/Expo Center

Josh is enjoying his 2nd life with HRS, joining the company first as a teenager in 1996 at our company Subway, and again in 2009 as part of the HRS Hotels management team. Josh spent several months as a relief manager at the Comfort Inn in Corydon and then moved to the Ramada Airport in early 2010.

A former Merchandise Manager for Barnes and Noble Booksellers, Josh spent many years on the University of Louisville campus operating as part of their bookstore management team.

A lifetime Louisville resident, Josh is a graduate of DuPont Manual High School, where he played baseball throughout his years there. He is an avid skateboard enthusiast and self proclaimed "electronics geek".

Vidya Ram: CFO HRS Hotels Group, General Manager - Ramada Airport & Fair/Expo

Vidya Ram wears two hats for HRS Hotels Group, first as the Manager of HRS’s “Ramada Airport and Fair/Expo Center” in Louisville, and secondly as the CFO for “HRS Hotel Group”.

As if having two jobs weren’t enough, Vidya stays active in her faith, is married, and the proud mother of a beautiful daughter.

Vidya attended high school and college in her hometown of Chennai, India, where she graduated with honors from Meenakshi College for Women with a degree in Accounting. She came to the United States in 2003 and has worked for HRS Hotels Group for five years.

Vidya is an accomplished musician who plays her native Veena stringed instrument, very similar to the Sitar, and sings and performs in dance recitals.

Doug Simmons: Operations Director - HRS Hotels Group

In a diversified work career encompassing jobs as varied as a journalist, radio station News Director, employee of the United States Mint, and Juvenile Offender Counselor, Simmons is proud to say that the his career finally landed and settled in the hospitality profession.

He has over thirty years of active hotel experience, starting as a Night Auditor for Holiday Inn and leading to over 25 years in hotel management positions for multiple brands. Simmons holds a degree in Mass Communications from Western Kentucky University, is a Certified Hotel Administrator, and graduate of Acadamie Accor Hotel Management School.

Simmons grew up on military bases around the world as an “Army Brat” and continues to live outside Fort Knox, KY with his wife and children. An active antique and history buff, Simmons joined HRS in 2005, and continues to work for the growth and betterment of HRS properties, and the best guest experience possible.

Allen McKamie - GM, Fairfield Inn & Suites

Allen McKamie, General Manager of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Louisville East, began his career as a Guest Service Representative while attending Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis where he achieved a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. During his 13 years of hotel management Allen has worked for both Hilton and Marriott brands.

Allen grew up in Hope, AR and moved to Louisville in 1998.

He is the father of two who enjoys traveling and playing golf.
